Parent Code of Conduct
As a parent of a player for Camden Town WFC, I will commit and adhere to the following code of conduct and will ensure I uphold these standards at all times as a representative of the football club:
- Show respect at all times to staff members, players, officials and opposition.
- Support the players with unforced pressure, praising good work, effort and discipline.
- Use appropriate language at all times.
- Allow the players to make their own decisions in games, and follow the guidance from their coaches. Not telling the players what to do, but showing support for their attempts.
- Respect all aspects of good competition, applauding good play from both teams.
- Encourage the players to take responsibility for their kit, attendance, discipline and commitments.
- Communicate effectively with team coaches and club staff, ensuring any availability issues are highlighted early and supporting, where possible, with other players' travel to and from games/training sessions.
- Understand that development is not a linear process, and that there will be ups and downs along the journey. When players are frustrated/disappointed, help them understand the "bigger picture", and the learnings they can gain from that moment.
If any parent does not follow the Parent Code of Conduct to the standard as expected by the club and its staff, they could face the below disciplinary procedures (at the club's discretion):
- Verbal warning issued by coaching staff.
- A written warning issued by club management.
- Temporary suspension from attendance to competitive matches and/or training sessions for a period of time that the club deems suitable.
- Permanent exclusion from club and team, with all training/match kit provided to be returned and any applicable fines paid to the club.
Players have the right to be safe from abuse and can discuss any concerns or issues with the Welfare Officer (harry@camdentownwfc.com) at any time at the link below.
